We are still on track for our graduation at 2:00 p.m. this afternoon at Thompson Field. We are excited to gather together to celebrate our graduating class of 2025!
We want to provide information about today's outdoor ceremony. First, there will be a high level of humidity today. Please hydrate or bring water to help with comfort during the ceremony. Water will be provided to the graduates at their seats.
The other big issue this time of year is mosquitoes. Our state has had tremendous rain, creating a favorable environment for them. Please take the steps needed to keep them away from you.
A few reminders from yesterday:
The gates will open at 1:00 p.m. this afternoon. Seating is first come, first served. Please respect the other graduates and their families and do not save seats.
The public entrance will be on Wacker Stadium's West side (home side). Students participating in the ceremony may enter on the visitor side and park on the stadium's East side. Graduates were instructed to be at Thompson Field at 1:30 p.m. and should be lined up by 1:45 at the latest.
Field access will be restricted until after the conclusion of the ceremony.
A layout of the ceremony is included here.
We appreciate Panther Athletics livestreaming today's graduation ceremony. Today's event will go live as the event begins. The stream will be available at: https://varsitystream.com/pauls-valley-high-school/home.html

This afternoon's call with the National Weather Service regarding weather timing and graduation was very positive. The trends continue to allow graduation at Thompson Field at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 18th. However, we all understand this is Oklahoma, and the forecast is always subject to change. We will continue to monitor the forecast and update any changes as we receive information.
A few reminders for the ceremony:
The gates will open at 1:00 p.m. tomorrow. Seating is first come, first served. Please respect the other graduates and their families and do not save seats.

We want to share our years of service and retirement list as we wrap up another school year. If they have not already, those listed with milestones should receive their service pins today. Congratulations to those entering retirement, but more importantly, thank you for the many lives you have touched along the way. We appreciate all that has been done for this community and our students.
GO PANTHERS!

Pauls Valley Schools will be open today, Thursday, May 1st.

We are in communication with Garvin County Emergency Management, Pauls Valley Police Department, and Pauls Valley Fire Department regarding the potential for flooding from the Washita River overnight. If conditions are unsafe tomorrow morning, school will be closed. We will not have enough data until the overnight hours to determine what is appropriate. Once we have received a recommendation from our first responders, we will make an announcement. We appreciate your understanding.
Thank you to all of our first responders who have been handling the weather today! They have provided our district with updates and information to help us have school and keep our students and staff safe.

Due to the flooding and potentially hazardous driving conditions, the Junior High Parent Meeting has been postponed until May 14. Stay safe!
Feel free to contact Coach Anthony with any questions: manthony@pvps.us #APEX

Areas on country bus routes (gray, orange, & purple) are impassable. We will run routes, but will not put students in danger. Students unable to be taken home will be taken back to school. If you can make arrangements for student pick up, please do. Students may be picked up early.

Please use caution this morning. Buses may be running late or not able to make it to certain areas. If your child cannot make it please contact your child's office for an excused absence. Safety first!
