Pauls Valley Schools will be closed tomorrow (Friday, January 23rd) due to inclement weather. This will be a traditional snow day, with no virtual instruction.
This decision was made after carefully balancing student safety with the needs of our community while monitoring changing weather forecasts. We must also consider the safety of our staff who commute, students who drive or walk to school, and ensure we never place our buses on the road in unsafe, inclement weather.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support as we prioritize the safety of our students and staff. Please stay safe and warm, and continue to watch for updates.

We’re proud to announce the addition of three new activity buses to our district fleet! 🎉
🚌 Two new full-size International activity buses
🚐 One 14-passenger activity bus that can be driven by any staff member with a regular driver’s license
Our new full-size buses are packed with features designed for comfort and convenience, including:
✔️ USB charging ports
✔️ Individual passenger lighting and air vents
✔️ Air ride suspension for a smoother, coach-like ride
✔️ An awesome new graphics package — voted on by our 6th–11th grade students 👏
These additions will help ensure safer, more comfortable travel for our students as they represent Pauls Valley near and far. We also want to share that these buses were purchased using already allocated district funds and are not part of a bond project or tied to any tax increase. We’re proud to continue investing responsibly in our students and staff while being good stewards of district resources.

🌟 Big News! Investing in Our Student-Athletes and Community! 🌟
We are thrilled to share that at last night's Board meeting, initial plans for a major upgrade to our Wacker Stadium facilities were approved!
🏃🏈 Track and Field/Stadium Reconstruction Project
This comprehensive project will bring significant improvements to benefit many programs and our entire community:
• Track Expansion: Our current six-lane track will be completely reconstructed and expanded to a state-of-the-art eight-lane track.
• Field Resurfacing: The football field will be resurfaced with brand-new artificial turf and improved drainage systems.
This investment will support a wide range of groups, including:
• The Pride of the Valley Marching Band and its annual contest
• Track and Field
• Cross Country
• Football
• Special Olympics
• Community youth programming
This project directly aligns with our current strategic planning and community survey feedback regarding the need to address school-owned facilities and expand future programming opportunities.
We are incredibly appreciative of our anonymous donors who have made significant contributions to make this vision a reality!
🛠️ Concessions, Sound System, and Restroom Upgrades (Separate Project)
In a separate but equally important effort, we will begin making immediate improvements to our existing bathroom and concession facilities. We will also begin working to replace our sound system and speakers that quit working near the end of the football season. Our goal is to have noticeable changes completed in time for the upcoming track meet season!
✅ Financial Impact
We want to assure our community that none of these projects are coming from a bond proposal or will result in any tax increases. These upgrades will be funded through private donations and school district funds specifically designated for building and facilities projects.
We are excited about the future and what these improvements will mean for our students and community members!
Stay tuned for updates as the work begins!

HOMECOMING IS FRIDAY - OCTOBER 31ST
As we prepare to celebrate homecoming this Friday night (October 31st) against Star Spencer, our top priority is the safety and well-being of all students and community members. To ensure a safe and enjoyable parade for everyone, there will be no throwing of candy or other items from floats during the homecoming parade.
This decision is being made out of an abundance of caution and in consultation with local public safety officials due to several safety concerns, including:
Preventing Injury: Throwing items from floats can cause people to be struck by objects or create a rush of students into the street, leading to potential injuries or accidents.
Protecting Children: We want to discourage children from running into the street or approaching moving floats to retrieve thrown candy.
Guarding Against Contaminants: There is an increased risk from products containing THC being packaged to look like real candy, which creates a significant safety issue for our students. There have also been instances in other locations where other objects were found in candies.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping us maintain a safe environment for this community tradition.
You can still get your candy fix! Our cheerleaders will be safely handing out candy to fans at the football game against Star Spencer on Friday night. Our Pauls Valley High School Student Council and other student organizations will also be preparing candy bags for elementary and intermediate students to receive following the district-wide pep assembly next Friday morning.
A full schedule of homecoming events, as well as this year's homecoming court, is included with this post.
Thank you for your support of all of our Pauls Valley Panthers!
