The PV Cheerleaders will be at PVES tomorrow morning, Wednesday, October 14th to sell ribbons and tattoos since there is no school on Thursday (this week's game day)! Go Panthers!

Ms. Williamson read aloud a new book her class received this morning from her book fair wish list! 📕 There is still time to buy books for PVES classrooms through our Scholastic Book Fair! All teachers have wish lists available. Tonight, during Parent Teacher Conferences, the book fair will be open again to families. See you between 3:15 and 5:30 this afternoon!

Mrs. Barcenas' kindergarteners enjoyed investigating the pumpkins PVES purchased for students! They found out if pumpkins sink or float, they put their hands in and got seeds out to count, measured how tall the pumpkins were with linking cubes, and lastly they painted their pumpkins!🎃

Mrs. Arie's 2nd grade students measured and weighed their pumpkins to make a class data chart!! They measured the height, weight, and circumference! 📏 🎃

Mrs. Barcenas made color sorting and stacking fun with a game for her kindergarten students!

Breakfast Club 🍳🥓🧇 Mrs. Sparks, our PVES counselor, joined some of our kiddos this morning for breakfast! We sure appreciate all she does for our students!

Ms. Holloway's 1st grade class using pattern blocks to cover and build designs during their math lesson.

Thank you Stephen Wilkerson for blowing the rubber chips back into our play area and helping to maintain our playground. PVES students and staff sure appreciate you!

Mrs. Clayton's third grade class completed a science and art activity related to Hot Air Balloons! They studied lift and air density to go along with the project before constructing their very own Hot Air Balloons. The students learned how hot air balloons work and how heat affects air density. They sure had a fun, messy time creating their projects! Now their balloons are flying high!

PVES staff enjoyed a dirty soda bar in memory of Dolly Parton! We all had a cup of Ambition, or Wednesday motivation!🩷

Mrs. Campbell’s third grade class earned the letters in their classroom “COMPLIMENT” challenge again and celebrated with a show-n-tell day!

Students ‘earn letters’ from specials teachers, principals, paras, and Mrs. Campbell when they go above and beyond classroom Expectation. Students can receive a ‘compliment’ as a team working together following procedures, helping others, showing kindness and respect everywhere they go at school! This also gives students the opportunity to engage in social activities such as sharing, conversation etiquette, and showing responsibility.

Our Little Panthers participated in the Southern Oklahoma Track Club's Elementary Cross Country Championship Meet last night. Nalani Nunez placed 5th in the 1st and 2nd grade girls division with a 7:18 mile run out of 52 girls. She received a championship ring for her outstanding run! Those in the top 25 placings received gold medals. Way to go Panthers!

Ms. Daniel’s First Graders had a wonderful time participating in a creative writing project using pumpkins provided to us by the school. Each student was able to use their imagination and creativity to develop a story inspired by their pumpkin. It was a wonderful way to combine creativity, literacy, and the Fall season in the classroom! 🎃🍂📝
