🍎🍏Mrs. Grounds' kindergarteners enjoyed APPLE themed painting, fine motor practice, and stem activities in class today!🍏🍎

When it is your leader day and your dad is a firefighter, what do you bring for show and tell? A fire truck! 🚒 Thank you PV firefighters Trevor Felan, JR Jackson, and Cole Campbell for making Brooks Felan's show and tell one to remember!

Students got to do a science experiment in Character Lab this week. They used a sneeze simulator after reading "Sick Simon" by Dan Krall with our counselor Mrs. Sparks (aka Doctor Von Sparklestein). 🤧🤒👩🏼‍🔬🦠🩷

On Wednesday, Stephen Fite, children's musician and songwriter, stopped back by PVES to visit the classrooms of the teachers who attended the Frog Street conference this past summer. He visited Mrs. Barcenas and Mrs. Hicks' kindergarten classes, as well as , Mrs. Apel, Mrs. Montgomery, Mrs. Milligan, and Ms. Williamson's first grade and T-1 classes. Mr. Fite spoke with the students and sang a song with them. It was fantastic!

Stephen Fite, children's musician and songwriter, stopped by PVES on Tuesday afternoon. He presents workshops for teachers and conducts concerts for children. In July, PVES had six teachers attend the Frog Street conference in Texas where Stephen Fite presented. He wanted to stop by and check on them. Mrs. Herd, Mrs. Sparks, and Ms. Wallace got to meet with him.

Mrs. Herd made her famous cinnamon rolls for the PVHS cheerleaders this morning! They compete at State this weekend. Good luck girls!! ❤️🐾📣

Ms. Williamson's students were excited to show Mrs. Herd all the fun learning activities they do in T-1! From STEM projects, to Qtip painting for developing fine motor skills, on to table work, and addition with dice 🎲 T-1 is the place to be! 🌟

What do some of our third graders do while waiting for their classmates during the post-recess bathroom break? They learn American Sign Language! Mrs. Clayton and Mrs. Harrison’s classes are using their rest time to practice words and phrases in ASL. Parents, ask your kids to show you what they learned!

PV Cheer Clinic forms will be going out with students soon! Be on the lookout for them. A copy is attached here.

Mrs. Apel's first grade students celebrated International Dot Day with STEM creations constructed out of marshmallows and toothpicks!

PVES First grade and T-1 classes came together for International Dot Day!🌎Students enjoyed painting 🖌️ their own Dot Day creations!🟣🟢🟡

PVES Kindergartners had fun decorating and designing their own Dots in Library this past week for International Dot Day! 🖍️🔵

🟢 International Dot Day was Tuesday, September 15th! 🟣 This celebration is inspired by Peter H. Reynolds' children's book, The Dot. 🟡 The book encourages children and adults to be brave, explore creativity, and "Make their Mark" on the world! 🌎

Mrs. Milligan's first grade class used alphabet mats to put their letter manipulatives in alphabetical order.

Mrs. Barcenas' Kindergarteners celebrated the letter 'Tt' by making corn Tortillas and taste testing quesadillas on a Tuesday during Hispanic Heritage Month! 🌽🥣🧑🏽‍🍳😋

Ashlynn Coon, Se’Anna Craine, Pablo Martinez, and Stryker Owings received Rock Star referrals this past week! Great job Panthers!!! 🤩🐾
