As a reminder, there will be no school on Monday, February 17th. This will be a professional day for our staff. Enjoy the three-day weekend and happy Presidents' Day!

This Friday, February 14th, we will serve a chicken sandwich instead of a pulled pork sandwich.

The latest updates have pushed the potential winter weather further south and could impact travel conditions in Garvin County. Out of an abundance of caution and to provide as much notice as possible, Pauls Valley Schools will be closed tomorrow, Wednesday, February 12, 2025. Safety is our first priority! We do not want to place students and staff on potentially unsafe road conditions. This will be a traditional snow day.

We are monitoring the forecast for Wednesday morning in our area. At this time, all freezing precipitation is predicted to be north of Pauls Valley. We are in contact with Garvin County Emergency Management and the National Weather Service and will be up early to check weather and road conditions.

Help PVES keep safety first on our school buses this Valentine's Day! If you are sending balloons to your child at school, please plan for them to be a car pick up at dismissal.

Class group pictures are scheduled for tomorrow, February 4th, at 8:15 AM.
Classes begin at 8:10 AM. If your child will be eating breakfast in the cafeteria, they should arrive by 7:45 AM at the latest. This will allow them enough time to eat and make it to class on time.
Order forms and payment must be turned in by 9:00 AM tomorrow, February 4th. If you purchase pictures online please write the order number or transaction ID number on the order form.

We still have chocolate boxes available!
Don’t let your student miss out on the MONSTER PARTY LIMO EXPERIENCE! Sell three kits to earn a ride in the party limo around town and then enjoy a pizza party at Mazzio's.
Collect all the PIGTASTIC charms! Each box of chocolate has three charms.

It's that time of year again! We need volunteers for our upcoming Book Fair, which will take place from Tuesday, February 18 through Friday, February 21. Here is the link for parents to sign up online.

Today is the kickoff day for the PV Elementary Fundraiser! Please check your child's backpack when they get home for important fundraising information. Parents, if your child would like to participate, please sign the enclosed permission slip and return it to the school as soon as possible. Children will not receive chocolates without a signed permission slip. Thank you!

SUBSTITUTES NEEDED
Pauls Valley Schools is looking for substitute teachers for the remainder of the current school year. Applications are available in person at the Superintendent's Office at 301 North Chickasaw.

We look forward to welcoming all of our Panthers back to school tomorrow after the long weekend. It is forecasted to be a very cold start to the day tomorrow. The National Weather Service graphic includes tips for dressing warm. Layering and using gloves and caps provides warmth while outside and the ability to remove layers for comfort in warm buildings. Please consider dropping students off if possible to reduce any time they may spend outside.

Due to the uncertainty of winter weather forecasts and out of an abundance of caution, Pauls Valley Schools will have online learning tomorrow, Thursday, January 9th. Safety is always the top priority, and we are exercising caution for all our students and staff.
Each class will handle this a little differently - some assignments were sent home on paper, and others on Google Classroom - but don’t worry, we will ensure plenty of time for fun in the snow should the weather cooperate.
If you have not already downloaded the Pauls Valley School App, we recommend downloading it now. Teachers will be available through school email or Rooms. We will continue to monitor the weather and provide updates on any future closings through our website, social media, and the Pauls Valley Schools App.
Stay safe and stay warm!

A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for a large area of Oklahoma, including Pauls Valley. A final decision regarding the status of school tomorrow will be made this evening. Our district wants to provide enough notice to all our parents and staff while balancing the ability to obtain the most recent forecast information. Once a decision is made, information will be shared on our website, Facebook, and the Pauls Valley Schools App.

We look forward to welcoming all of our Panthers back to school tomorrow, Monday, January 6th.
Cold weather and wind chills are forecasted for the next few days. The National Weather Service has provided the graphic below regarding dressing for cold weather. Wearing layers is important to stay warm while outdoors, but it also helps provide comfort by allowing for the removal of layers in warm school buildings.

Before your kids return to school on January 6th please wash their coats, hats, and mittens. This will help prevent the spread of Influenza and the stomach flu. Please help us keep everyone healthy.

HAPPY CHRISTMAS BREAK!
We look forward to welcoming everyone back to school on Monday, January 6th! Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
