Therefore, students cannot check out of school because no staff members will be in the front offices or available to accept phone calls. Student safety is our top priority, and we appreciate your understanding.

Did you know that the Pauls Valley percussion students had an original piece of music written for them?
This group of students had an original piece written for them by an Oklahoma composer, Chris Prather. Chris is an active composer and percussionist in the OKC area who also works with the High School Drumline during summer training. He has been active with our band camp for the last five years. At the end of band camp this year, percussion instructor Gunnar Long approached Chris about writing an original piece for our group, as they have gotten to know and respect his knowledge of music and teaching. So, by December, he composed an original piece specifically for the percussionists of Pauls Valley High School. No other group has ever performed this music and it will have its debut at the District Solo & Ensemble Contest next Saturday, February 24. He paid a visit this past Thursday morning to offer suggestions on improving the piece and was very impressed with our students.
Way to go, Mr. Long and our Pauls Valley Percussion Team!

The Pauls Valley Junior High Book Fair begins tomorrow morning and runs through February 27th. Drawing for free books will be held every day from those who have purchased during that school day. There will also be a special drawing of $25 for those students whose parents/guardians visit anytime during the Book Fair. The goal is to sell $3500. Cash, credit cards, and Apple Pay will be accepted. Parents can also set up an eWallet on the Scholastic website. Parent nights will be held during Parent-Teacher Conferences on February 20th and 27th.
