You're the first smile folks see when they walk in and the steady hand that keeps everything from falling apart on the busy days. Phones ringing, papers piling up, kids needing something every five minutes—and somehow you handle it all with grace. We sure are thankful for you and all you do for Pauls Valley Junior High. You’re appreciated more than you know. 🖤❤️

A floral-themed “Happy Secretary’s Day” graphic in soft pinks and purples celebrates staff at Pauls Valley Junior High. The message thanks secretaries as “unsung heroes who keep the gears turning, the paperwork flowing, and the office humming with efficiency.” A ribbon banner reads “Pauls Valley Junior High.” Three photos at the bottom show smiling office staff holding potted flowers and gifts—one at a desk, one in front of a school sign, and one seated in an office—highlighting appreciation for their work.

Thanks to a PVJH Foundation grant, our 8th grade students explored the powerful novel Refugee by Alan Gratz and brought their learning to life through creative projects that reflect courage, resilience, and hope. These pieces show not only their understanding of the refugee experience—but also their empathy and heart. We’re so proud of the meaningful work happening at PVJH and grateful for the support that makes it possible!

A celebratory collage on a black background with gold confetti accents highlights student work from a PVJH Foundation grant project titled “Understanding the Refugee Experience: PVJH Foundation Grant by Tonya Tobey.” Surrounding the title are colorful posters created by eighth-grade students, featuring poems, drawings, maps, and symbols representing themes of hope, displacement, and resilience. At the center is a display of many small student pieces arranged around a world map. Text at the bottom explains that the grant funded class sets of novels, and students read Refugee by Alan Gratz, which tells the stories of three young people fleeing their home countries in search of safety.
Recently, PVJH 9th graders toured the Oklahoma State Capitol. Students were welcomed by Rep. Cindy Roe—who introduced them during session and hosted them in her office—as well as Rep. Tammy Townley and Sen. Jonathan Wingard, who took time to answer questions. It was a valuable, firsthand look at the legislative process, made possible by the support and dedication of our teachers.

A large group of students and a few adults pose for a formal group photo on wide marble stairs inside a grand, historic building. The space features tall columns, arched doorways, and polished stone floors. The students are arranged in several rows, dressed in a mix of casual and semi-formal clothing, while a few staff members stand in front. The setting and composition suggest a school trip or special academic event, possibly at a state capitol or government building.
April is in full bloom—and so are these amazing Panthers! 💜🌸
Congratulations to our April Students of the Month at PVJH.
