Jefferson ELC Administration
Jeanie Menefee-During my 10.5 years as a Pauls Valley Schools’ classroom teacher I taught Kindergarten, Fourth Grade, and a Pull-Out Gifted Program for Grades 1-5. After the birth of my second child, I became a “semi-retired” stay-at-home Mom. When my youngest entered Kindergarten, I taught 6th Grade, as well as 6th and 7th Grade Math. In 1991, I became the Principal at Jackson Elementary which housed Grades PK-3 at the time. Over the years as a Pauls Valley Administrator, I have experienced several District reorganizations. During a transition time in our District, I had the opportunity to work not only with our youngest students, but our students in the Alternative Program as well. The 2009-10 school year will conclude my 31st year in Education; 11.5 years in the Classroom and 20 years as an Administrator. My current position at Jefferson ELC brought me home to the building where my teaching experience began 36 years ago. My career as a Professional Educator has been filled with excitement and rewards. I am truly blessed.

Philosophy of Education:
My philosophy of Education is the same for any age. To be a facilitator to assist one see the best in themselves and to continue to seek their potential through life’s adventure. My goal has always been to set students and staff up for success in a nurturing environment. As a Professional Educator in today’s world, it is imperative we not only provide the resources and tools for our students, but to teach them HOW to be a resourceful students and productive citizens.
