Jefferson Early Learning Center Administration
Mia Lisa Wigley is the Principal at Jefferson Early Learning Center. Her positions held in the public schools include sixth grade Math, School Counselor, and currently Elementary Principal with Pauls Valley Public Schools. Wigley earned her degrees from East Central University in Elementary Education, K-12 School Counselor and is Public School Administration Certified. She is married to Tuffy Wigley and together they have five children, with the addition of three son-in-laws and one daughter-in-law. She has been truly blessed with seven very active grandchildren that keep her busy in her spare time.
Wigley’s philosophy of education at Jefferson Early Learning Center is based on the understanding that the early years are crucial in developing and maximizing each child’s potential; therefore, the learning environment builds upon the opportunity that is inherent in the enthusiasm, openness and readiness to absorb new experiences. The environment is created where the children and parents are identified as the focus. JELC recognizes the importance of forming a partnership with parents to support continued learning in the home to bridge the gap between home and school. Working together is the key in the child’s lifelong love of learning. She supports Pauls Valley Schools in the vision of “empowering all students to succeed in a changing world."
