Jefferson Early Learning Center Administration

Jeanie Menefee is the principal at Jefferson Early Learning Center.  She graduated from Eisenhower High School in Lawton.  She received a BS in Education from Oklahoma State University and a M.Ed in Elementary Education with Administrative Certification from the University of Oklahoma.  She has taught in the Pauls Valley School system in many positions including kindergarten, 4th grade, Pull-Out Gifted Program Grades 1-5, 6th grade, 7th grade, and administration.  The 2009-10 school year will conclude her 31st year in education, 11 years as a classroom teacher and 20 years as an administration.

She has been married to Bill for 36 years and has made Pauls Valley her home for the entire time.  They have two children, Blake and Morgan.

Menefee's philosophy of education is the same for any age:  To be a facilitator and assist others to see the best in themselves and continue to seek their potential through life’s adventure.   Her goal has always been to set students and staff up for success in a nurturing environment.  As a professional educator in today’s world, she feels it is imperative we not only provide the resources and tools for our students, but to teach them HOW to be resourceful students and productive citizens.
